The Parade line-up will begin Monday, May 28 at 7:00 am at Pine Tree Circle (center of town). The Parade will leave promptly at 9:00 am. Please note that Topanga Canyon Boulevard Northbound will be closed from Old Topanga to Cheney Drive. Traffic will be detoured thru Old Topanga. No stopping allowed at TCH entrance, must continue past Cheney, U-Turns allowed at Santa Maria Road ("The Corral"). Please help us have a fun and peaceful parade. Remember water balloons, pistols or water toys of any kind will not be permitted by anyone during the parade or along the parade route.

First time parade coordinator, Pat Burke outlined his vision for this year's parade: "We are tweaking the categories so the participants and judges can have some old fashioned fun. Of course, we are starting with the Best float. Then we will be selecting the Driest, to encourage people to leave the water behind. Follow that up with Most Topangan, the Spirit Award and the Most Hysterical." The 2007 esteemed panel of parade judges include old time Topanga residents R.D. (Ron) Denend, Danny Tucker and Pat Burke.

Participants for the parade can register until Friday, May 24 and forms are available at Pat's Topanga Grill. Assembly begins at 7:00 AM at Pine Tree Circle on May 28. Burke also listed some of the rules as laid out by the CHP, "There is no stopping at the end of the parade route. Off loading floats must be done past the Community House entrance and u-turns can be done at Santa Maria Road."

The Grand Marshall, Chin, also reminds everyone that "The Topanga Days policy of no dogs will be strictly enforced, with no exceptions, including myself. Canine admirers and well-wishers are welcome to visit me at Pat's Grill during visiting hours."
